In a school student contest about \u201cHand and Craft work in National Socialist Germany\u201d he wins first prize for the quality of illustrations.\"<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr class=\"row-4 even\">\n\t<td class=\"column-1\">1938-42<\/td><td class=\"column-2\">Technical draughtsman and employee in the advertising department of the company Siemens in Berlin.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr class=\"row-5 odd\">\n\t<td class=\"column-1\">1942-45<\/td><td class=\"column-2\">He is drafted into military service as a naval radio operator and together with others, works on the design, performance and staging of productions for soldiers and civilians in Ahlbeck, Schleswig-Holstein.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr class=\"row-6 even\">\n\t<td class=\"column-1\">1945-47<\/td><td class=\"column-2\">Captive of war in Schleswig-Hostein and member of the travelling troupe \u201cBunte Gruppe Tating\u201d (Vivid Group Tating). Professionally, he works as a graphic artist in the advertising department at the company Hartmann &amp; Braun.
